Ok, after a brief hiatus, I'm back to reading my Cat Woman book of essays. The one I read tonight was cute. Writer Margaret Littman, not a cat person by any means, writes about her dilemma when a colony of feral cats stakes a claim near her driveway. She decides to try the "trap-neuter-release" strategy. She and a friend dub the first cat she catches "Salty."
"We had to name him in order to leave him at the shelter; he was gray, we were tired, he became Salty," she explains.
